To show our love and support, our district will be holding “Courage for Carter Day” on Monday, November 24, just before we head into Thanksgiving break. We’re asking everyone to wear green, the color for lymphoma awareness, to show Carter that his Fredonia family is cheering him on every step of the way.
Students and staff are invited to donate $1 or more if they wish, although there is no obligation.. All proceeds will go directly to Carter’s family to help with ongoing expenses during his treatment. In addition, a QR code is included on the Courage for Carter flier to allow those interested to
donate digitally through Venmo, if they prefer.

Tomorrow, Thursday, 11/20, FCSD joins schools across the world in recognizing Children's Grief Awareness Day by wearing the color blue.
This time of year is a particularly appropriate time to support grieving students because the holiday season and the surrounding memories/traditions are often an especially difficult time after a death.
The theme this year is "Champion of Hope", and emphasizes that we all have a role to play for students who are grieving. You don't have to be a superhero, just someone who listens, supports, and reminds kids that their feelings are valid and that hope always exists.

Middle and High School students can "shop" in the pantry by working with their School Social Worker.
Students in Pre-K through Grade 4 are eligible for the Backpack Program, which sends a bag of nonperishable food home over the weekends. Interested students/parents/guardians can work with your teacher and School Social Worker to get signed up.
Also below, please find a list of local food pantries, with their locations, contact info and days/times of operation.

Congratulations to our 7th & 8th grade Modified Volleyball team on an incredible season! 🖤
The Lady ‘Billies finished with an impressive 8-2 record, won every set in their 4-team mid-year tournament, and came out on top in five full 5-set match wins throughout the season! Their dedication, teamwork, and determination were on full display from start to finish.
Modified volleyball plays such an important role in building the foundation for future success. It’s where athletes develop core skills, confidence, and communication, and learn what it truly means to be part of a team. This year’s group demonstrated all of that and more.
We are proud of these student-athletes for representing Fredonia with heart, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
