AESOP Sub Calling System
Using the AESOP Substitute System
The Fredonia Central School District has implemented a new automated service, AESOP, which will greatly simplify and streamline the process of recording absences and finding substitutes.
The AESOP service is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may interact with the system either by way of a toll-free automated phone line, 1-800-942-3767 or on the Internet, at the AESOP OnLine website. If you have any questions or need technical assistance, your AESOP Administrator is available at the help desk from 6 – 9 a.m., Monday through Friday when school is in session. You may also leave her a voice mail or an e-mail at any time and she will return your request within her next working day between the hours of 6 – 9 a.m.
How do I register with AESOP?
Dial 1-800-942-3767 and follow the prompts.
Enter your ID (this is your home or cell phone number beginning with the area code) and PIN.
Once logged into the system, you will be given prompts for various menu choices including to record your name and your job title. If you do not record your name, the system will produce a computer generated recording of your information which may or may not be pronounced correctly. This is an extremely important step as Aesop will play this recording to substitutes for all future absences you register.
Important highlights:
Please review for accuracy your name, job title, school location and home phone on your personal AESOP home page on the Web. All changes should be directed to your HR office or your AESOP administrator.
When entering an absence, please wait until you receive a confirmation number before you terminate the phone call. Your transaction is not complete until you receive a confirmation number.
Although assigning a substitute is not available, we highly recommend that you create a "preferred substitute list" through the Web. Aesop will contact the preferred substitute first when you create an absence, matching your skill to that of the substitute. Once you create a preferred list, you may also create a preference list called Favorite Five. This list allows you to select five substitutes, within the skill matching, who will be notified instantly through email, if provided. They will also receive a phone call offering them your absence during the first available evening call period. This is a courtesy offer to the substitute but it does not guarantee him/her the assignment.
If you have questions on how to use this service, please review the interactive training videos and Quick Start User Guide.
For any additional questions, please contact Millie Manuszewski, your AESOP Administrator, at (716) 821-7238 or mmanuszewski@e1b.org.
