We are expecting high attendance, so please plan to park in the high school events parking lot near the auditorium. Please do not park in any bus loops, as these are fire lanes. Thank you, and enjoy the show.

This year's polar plunge to benefit @SpecOlympicsNY was a HUGE success! Our team, the Chilly Billies, smashed their fundraising goal and raised $6,965 for the cause! Check out what a fun (and frosty) time they had this past Friday! ❄️🌊
Thanks to student Ryan Davis for this video.

The second graders in Mrs. Price’s class enjoyed working with Mr. Haase and his high school seniors recently during their technology class. The students collaborated on building a catapult. They tested their design using a cookie and a marble. The final goal was to see if they could shoot both objects into a cup. This was achieved by working cooperatively to make changes to the placement of the catapult due to the weight of the object. It was an awesome learning experience for all students. The seniors learned the importance of being patient while mentoring, and the second graders learned a little physics and walked away with a “Big Buddy”.

Thanks to WDOE Radio for featuring our therapy dog Yost and owner Tim Wright on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program. They chat about Yost's adoption, the process he went through to become a therapy dog, and how he's helping students at Fredonia.

Recently Mrs. Johnston held a student volleyball tournament after completing their volleyball unit in PE. Seven teams competed and the winning student team competed against a staff team comprised of 6 HS staff members and one MS teacher. The students played exceptionally well and defeated the teachers in a close game, 25-19!
Thanks to our willing participant staff members: Steven Romans, Pat Newell, Amanda Krakowiak, Kerry Sweatman, Dan Bittinger, Shannon Marsh and Lisa Johnston.

Middle School students from Miss Hockwater's and Mrs. Greenough's English classes faced off in a "You Laugh, You Lose" Dad Joke Tournament last week as part of their Humor unit. What a fun way to bring a lesson to life!

Dear Fredonia Families,
Despite the challenging weather over the past few days, we continue to do our best to keep our schools open. Part of the difficulty for tomorrow is the high number of faculty and staff we have commuting from the north and east, including those in travel bans. In order to give those individuals plenty of time to get to work and be as safe as possible, Fredonia CSD will be operating on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Monday 11/21. We ask that our faculty and staff still leave early and take their time while traveling. Thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding as we work through winter weather related scenarios.
All after school events and activities for tomorrow will continue as scheduled.

Hello Fredonia families,
All events/activities for Saturday 11/19 will occur as scheduled. Stay safe and warm!

Good morning Fredonia families. We are open and on time today. Please give yourself a little extra time and drive safe. We continue to monitor conditions for our after school activities as well as the coming days.

Dear Fredonia Families,
Governor Hochul has declared a disaster emergency in Chautauqua and surrounding counties effective November 17. Based on the Governor’s declaration, consultation with County authorities, and the weather forecast, we are closing school for Friday, November 18. All after school activities for Friday are also canceled.
However, after school activities will continue for tonight, Thursday November 17.
The Friday performance of the Middle School musical "Matilda JR" is postponed to Monday, November 21 at 7:00 PM. As of now, the Saturday performances at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM will still be performed as scheduled. All ticket holders for Friday night's performance will have their tickets transferred to Monday. If any ticket holders have questions, they should e-mail Mr. Wendell at bwendell@fcsd.wnyric.org.
At this time, all other activities scheduled for Saturday will continue as planned. If this should change, we will make an announcement as soon as possible.
Brad Zilliox
Superintendent
