The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education that was postponed due to inclement weather has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 1/16/24 at 6:00 pm in the High School Library.

The Fredonia Board of Education will hold a special meeting Friday, January 12, at 8:00 am for the purpose of hiring, in the Fredonia District Office.

Fredonia CSD is open and on time today. We have full power, internet, and phones at both buildings. There is some debris along the way, as well as a few traffic signals that are blinking instead of fully operating. Please take your time and travel safely.

FCSD is participating in a county-wide shirt purchase and donation program to local fire departments in Mrs. Troutman's name. The shirt logo, "Love More PT" was her New Year's Resolution (with her initials at the bottom). Each school district that participates is selling shirts in their respective school colors. Please note that in addition to the shirt cost, there is an opportunity on the shirt order form for members of each school to donate to their local fire department in Paula's name. If you choose to do this, please include this amount in the total that is included with the order form and mark the form accordingly. All orders and funds (cash or check) can be dropped off in the high school office. Hello Fredonia Families, Out of respect for all involved and to be as prepared as possible for student arrival, we will be on a two-hour delay for all students, tomorrow, January 3rd. Faculty and staff will report at the regularly scheduled times. Morning drop-off for HS and MS will start at 9:20 am and the Elementary/Wheelock drop-off will start at 10:30 am. AM BOCES students may be dropped off at BOCES at their regular start time, or take the bus from FCSD. Students taking the bus will arrive approximately 40 minutes after BOCES classes start. Due to the lack of snow Peek n' Peak has decided to postpone the start of lessons by one week. For that reason we will postpone our first ski club trip until Friday, January 12th. Once a week pass holders may still use their passes on the 5th, but there will be no lessons and students will need to provide their own transportation. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Modified Girls' Basketball teams from Fredonia and Cassadaga raised $427 for the SonShine fund. The mission of the fund is to financially assist families who have experienced the death of a child by offering monetary grants to help with some portion of funeral costs. Thanks to all!

The Fredonia High School National Honor Society collected donations at the Varsity Boys' Basketball game on 12/22. The Honor Society organized this community event and raised over $600 for the Lake Shore Humane Society. The district honored the 1994 team which was the first team from Chautauqua County to go to the NYS playoffs. Our Unified teams also held a gift basket raffle to help raise money for their sports as well. Thank you to our school community for coming out and making both such a success. We hope to continue these traditions in the future.
