Hello Fredonia Families, Our district was very sorry to hear about the horrific attacks in Israel over the weekend. Our thoughts and compassion go out to the people of Israel, who are facing unimaginable tragedy. Earlier this week, we shared educational resources with our faculty and staff that might help our students cope with this news and better understand the situation. We are politely asking that you pay close attention to your child's online access and usage due to the gruesome images that are being shared from the Middle East, mostly on social media. Our faculty and staff will be doing the same here in our schools and classrooms. No one needs to be exposed to such images, especially those who are school-aged. Thanks for your cooperation and support. Respectfully, Brad Zilliox

We hope that everyone is enjoying the long weekend. Today our district celebrates Indigenous Peoples' Day, which honors indigenous American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. This directly connects with our district's core beliefs of showing respect, understanding diversity, supporting inclusivity, and being resilient. Thanks for taking a moment to reflect on our past while continuing to work together moving forward.

Today, FCSD honors all those who were lost or impacted by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Many thanks to our FHS National Honor Society for placing an American Flag outside of our school for each of the 2799 victims of 9/11. Let us vow never to forget the unity, compassion, and solidarity that arose from the ashes of tragedy. We should carry the lessons of 9/11 forward in our hearts and actions, ensuring that the sacrifices made on that day are never in vain.
