Veterans and Their Families: Please join us in honoring our nation's heroes beginning at 8:30 am with breakfast in the high school cafeteria. At 9:00 am Veterans will parade through the halls of our main campus starting at Fredonia High School, continuing to the middle school, and ending at the elementary school. All veterans are welcome to join us for breakfast, whether or not they choose to participate in the parade. MORE GAMEDAY INFO: Dunkirk Schools shared with us earlier today that their updated spectator policy is as follows: Students who are 14 or younger MUST be with an adult in order to come to the football game in Dunkirk on Friday, October 20th. Students who are 14 or younger who do not have an adult with them will not be allowed into the game.

ATTENTION: For those attending the football game in Dunkirk tonight, please note that it is their Homecoming and that Sixth Street will be blocked off from Marauder Drive to Canary Street beginning at 3:30 PM until kickoff. Additionally, there will be a parade lineup beginning at 5:30 PM on Marauder Drive from Frank Jagoda Drive to Sixth Street. The parade will begin at 6 PM and will block travel from Central Avenue to Sixth Street until the parade finishes at roughly 6:45 PM. Thanks in advance for adjusting your travel plans accordingly.

Many thanks to the SUNY Fredonia athletic teams that have been greeting our students in the morning during arrival. This is a great way to start the day on a positive note and also increase the connection between our district and the college. Thanks to everyone for their participation and enthusiasm. Nicely done! Congrats to Owyn Darrell-Sterbak for her recent performance at the CCMTA banquet as a 4-year scholarship recipient and for winning the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. We are extremely proud of her accomplishments and thank her for her dedication to the program. Additional thanks to Mr. Paschke, Mr. Shanahan, and Ms. Terreri for attending the banquet and supporting our music students. Awesome work by all involved! At the end of last school year, our very own Cooper Stenger earned the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America. On behalf of our entire school district, we offer our sincere congratulations on achieving this prestigious honor. We are extremely proud of this impressive accomplishment and want to recognize Cooper for gaining a variety of skills and knowledge that will equip him to be as successful as possible now, as well as in the future. The hard work and dedication required also connect directly with our district’s core beliefs of respect, integrity, excellence, and resilience. Well done and congrats! Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 13), we politely invite all students and staff to wear blue and white, the colors of the Israeli flag, as a symbol of our solidarity and compassion in light of recent events. This invitation is not about taking sides, but rather about demonstrating a commitment to our District's core beliefs of respect, diversity, inclusivity, and resilience. Hello Fredonia Families, Our district was very sorry to hear about the horrific attacks in Israel over the weekend. Our thoughts and compassion go out to the people of Israel, who are facing unimaginable tragedy. Earlier this week, we shared educational resources with our faculty and staff that might help our students cope with this news and better understand the situation. We are politely asking that you pay close attention to your child's online access and usage due to the gruesome images that are being shared from the Middle East, mostly on social media. Our faculty and staff will be doing the same here in our schools and classrooms. No one needs to be exposed to such images, especially those who are school-aged. This directly connects with our district's core beliefs of showing respect, understanding diversity, supporting inclusivity, and being resilient.
