Our very own Tyler Putney has continued his basketball career at Nazareth and will be playing in a game on October 25th at 3:30 PM at the KeyBank Arena in Buffalo. The Nazareth vs. Daemen matchup will be followed by Syracuse University vs. University of Buffalo at 7 PM.
Tyler currently holds the Nazareth all-time record for three-pointers made in a game (8), and is fifth all-time for three-pointers made in a season (77). Nice work, Tyler!

Recognizing the necessity of ensuring safe and productive learning environments for students and educators, legislation was passed in NY to create a statewide standard for distraction-free school environments. Our Fredonia students embraced this idea last year with the No Cell Bell to Bell policy. Designed to eliminate electronic distractions and foster greater engagement in the classroom, the policy was a tremendous success. Teachers and students alike have seen the benefits of uninterrupted instructional time, and they look forward to another year of focused learning and stronger connections. We look forward to building on that success as we start the new school year!
If you need to reach your student during the school day, please call the school office of the building your student attends. If your student needs to reach you during the school day, they can ask for permission to come to the main office to call home. There will be a Board of Education Workshop on Tuesday, 8/26 at 5 PM in the High School Library. The public is welcome to attend, but there will not be an opportunity for public comment.
The Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 26th, at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library.
This weekly clinic will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m. There is no cost to participate, and you do not need to attend each session per week to participate. Participants will focus on learning the game of basketball with an emphasis on skill development and game participation. Congratulations to our very own Emily Brown on an outstanding track career and her new position as a coach at UCLA. Well done! Emily finished her running career at Florida State with the sixth-fastest time in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a 10:05.64 in the event at the 2025 ACC Championships, and heads to the West Coast to start her coaching career.

Summer is an incredibly busy time here at Fredonia, and our incredible cleaning and maintenance staff are hard at work!
In just 40 days, they:
✨ Empty, deep clean, and reset 190 rooms.
✨Clean and polish hallways, stairwells, foyers, and gym floors.
🔧 Repair everything from light fixtures to faucets to furniture.
📦 Assemble new equipment.
📬 Help our purchasing department organize and deliver incoming packages.
(Because of Summer School in the High School, the Extended Year Program in parts of the Elementary and Middle School, and the pool and auditorium being utilized by the Fredonia Pomfret Recreation Dept., many rooms aren't able to be cleaned and reset until early August! )

Fredonia Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Girls Varsity Soccer Coach for the Fall 2025 season (August 18 – October 31, 2025). This is a great opportunity to lead a competitive program that values sportsmanship, teamwork, and community engagement.
