Interscholastic athletics in the Fredonia Central School District is an outgrowth of our physical education and health program and, therefore, is an integral part of the district’s total educational program. The interscholastic competitive environment provides an opportunity for our participants to learn critical life skills, values, and ethics. It fosters a climate that demands dedication, responsibility, self-discipline, cooperation, a positive work ethic, and respect for others. Our athletics program provides an opportunity for all to share common interests, respect differences, and appreciate physical competition as a lifelong process.

All involved in our program make a commitment to the goals of the team and make the personal sacrifices necessary in order to achieve success. Making such a commitment to excellence nurtures a sense of pride, loyalty, and leadership qualities in an athlete. Participants become more resilient and better prepared to face life’s challenges. The ultimate goal is a positive sports experience with a coach that inspires them to be their best self as students, athletes, and citizens.

Concussion Information

Fredonia Central School is using ArbiterLive to schedule its athletic contests. The public can access all team's schedules by selecting the Team Schedules link under the Athletics tab on the district home page.

If you click on a specific team's schedule, then click "Follow Team" on the right-hand side, you can add your email address and be notified if there are any changes for that game.

The Parental Consent and Waiver Form is for the parents of any student athlete who wishes to participate in Fredonia Athletics. Signing the consent waiver form by a parent or guardian states that they understand the risks involved in participating in athletics.

The consent waiver form is to be completed by parents of any athlete who wishes to participate in a modified, JV or Varsity sport during the school year if they were not able to attend the athletic parent information night in June. If a parent goes to the athletic parent night in June and signs in they do not have to fill out a consent form. The forms should be turned into the HS office or to the coach before the student athlete begins practice. Only one form each school year is required.
