Members of FMS Art Club are collaborating with students from SUNY Fredonia's Animation and Illustration Club to create 4 large paintings that will eventually be installed in the Middle School.
FMS students created original characters that were later sent to the college students to be reimagined and redrawn. The characters are being used in the four paintings, each one representing a season. In the above photograph, Julian Santos (SUNY Fredonia Junior, Animation and Illustration) works with students to create the design for Spring. Other students work to start blocking in large areas of color.
The students have really enjoyed working with the college artists. This project offers an opportunity to see how other artists work, generate ideas, and compose scenes. Having the college in our community is an amazing resource and allows students to have these unique experiences.
