The Edge, named after dedicated, longtime middle school secretary Margaret Edgerton, has been a trusted resource for our middle school students throughout the years. The Edge provides needed clothing, footwear, cold weather gear, and other essentials to any student who finds themself in need.

As part of Family Support Services in our district, the mission of The Edge has been expanded to serve all Fredonia students, PreK-12, and to provide a range of resources; continuing the tradition of providing clothing, footwear and cold weather gear, and now bolstered to include nonperishable food and hygiene products. The goal is to provide a “one-stop shop” for our students’ urgent needs.

The Edge is stocked through multiple donation drives during the year, as well as through generous donations that come in periodically from our staff and families. If you are interested in donating items to The Edge, contact our School Social Workers.

Order Online from our School Pantry & Backpack Program

Did you know FCSD has an in-house food pantry?

We serve FCSD students of all grade levels and their families who may need a little extra assistance with groceries and pantry staples. Any student or family member can reach out to an adult and pick up items from the pantry. They can also fill out the form linked below to request specific items, and even take advantage of delivery of these items.

We also offer a Backpack Program which sends items home with students in a backpack on Friday afternoons for the weekend.
