Emily finished her running career at Florida State with the sixth-fastest time in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a 10:05.64 in the event at the 2025 ACC Championships, and heads to the West Coast to start her coaching career.

Our hallways may not be filled with students, but they are far from empty!
Summer is an incredibly busy time here at Fredonia, and our incredible cleaning and maintenance staff are hard at work!
In just 40 days, they:
✨ Empty, deep clean, and reset 190 rooms.
✨Clean and polish hallways, stairwells, foyers, and gym floors.
🔧 Repair everything from light fixtures to faucets to furniture.
📦 Assemble new equipment.
📬 Help our purchasing department organize and deliver incoming packages.
(Because of Summer School in the High School, the Extended Year Program in parts of the Elementary and Middle School, and the pool and auditorium being utilized by the Fredonia Pomfret Recreation Dept., many rooms aren't able to be cleaned and reset until early August! )

Several members of the Fredonia family swung their clubs for a fantastic cause earlier this week, taking part in the 1st Annual Love More Golf Tournament in memory of Middle School Principal Paula Troutman. Held at Tri-County County Club, proceeds from the tournament will go to student scholarships and heart-healthy youth programs. #LoveMore

Although the forecast is slightly cooler for tomorrow, we will adjust both Wheelock and the Elementary School from a full to a half day on Wednesday, June 25. Temperatures in many of our classrooms today are well into the mid-80s. Additionally, it is difficult to cool the building since we cannot leave windows open overnight. Wheelock and Elementary students will be dismissed, and buses will depart at 11:30 AM.
Please note that both Wheelock and the Elementary Schools were previously scheduled for half days on Thursday and Friday of this week. These scheduled half days will remain unchanged.
Our Middle School will remain on half days for the entire week, as previously scheduled. As planned, Middle School students will be dismissed and buses will depart at 10:50 AM.
OUR HIGH SCHOOL REGENTS EXAM SCHEDULE WILL REMAIN UNCHANGED THIS WEEK. BOTH AM AND PM REGENTS EXAMS WILL RUN AS CURRENTLY SCHEDULED. STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE ON TIME FOR THEIR EXAMS AS SCHEDULED.
*Please note there will not be a late afternoon bus run after the PM exams.

With the forecast indicating increased temperatures and humidity for tomorrow, we will adjust both Wheelock and the Elementary School from a full to a half day on Tuesday, June 24. Wheelock and Elementary students will be dismissed, and buses will depart at 11:30 AM.
We will be monitoring the temperature throughout the day on Tuesday and will communicate any further adjustments for the week ASAP.
Our Middle School will remain on half days for the entire week, as previously scheduled. As planned, Middle School students will be dismissed and buses will depart at 10:50 AM.
