What's better than a great sports rivalry? A rivalry with great sportsmanship!
During the Dunkirk/Fredonia boys basketball game on Friday, 2/7, both teams played hard in front of a large, supportive crowd. Both cheerleading squads attended the game as well. As a symbol of the good sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the night, both cheerleading teams combined for a group photo near the end of a hard-fought game. Thanks to Dunkirk for their hospitality. Good luck to both teams as we get closer to the end of the season and play-offs.

Fredonia CSD will be on a 2-hour delay today due to the Cold Weather Advisory, which ends later this morning. Please help ensure that children have appropriate outerwear for the day, including warm jackets, hats, scarves, boots, and gloves, to protect them from the colder temperatures. Thank you for your assistance.

The Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on February 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library.

Reminder: Tomorrow (2/14/25) is a half day for students!

In anticipation of a large crowd for this Friday’s JV and Varsity boys basketball contests at Dunkirk, we are asking spectators to park in the areas seen in the picture below to avoid parking in the residential neighborhoods surrounding Dunkirk High School. In addition, there will be a small admission fee of $2.00 that will benefit the Dunkirk Sports
Boosters and all that they do to provide Dunkirk athletes with opportunities!
The game and halftime show will be streaming on the NFHS Network for free! More info will be posted before gametime on how to watch the stream.
It’s going to be an amazing atmosphere that we hope you want to be a part of! As fans, remember it is our job to Be Loud, Be Proud, and Be Positive towards all players, coaches, and officials.

Attention All FCSD Families,
Please note that all Fredonia water customers must boil all water used for cooking and drinking. There is a disruption in disinfection treatment. The water is not safe to drink. You will be notified when it is no longer necessary to boil water. For more information call the Village at 716-679-2307.
FCSD is making announcements in our schools, putting signs on drinking fountains, and bringing in water from Culligans. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility. Adults and students are welcome to bring water to school.

This is National School Counseling Week.
We want to thank our school counselors for being actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents; for working in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world; for focusing on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, career and social/emotional development; and working with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations to become their greatest selves.

The Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on February 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library.
