Ms. Bonnie Burnett and Ms. Laura Haase run a Kids Get Fit club in the Elementary.
Each class looks a little different but with the same goal. Students in grades 1-4 learn how to move their bodies fluently and efficiently to increase fitness levels. Students are exposed to age appropriate types of exercises, workouts, games, and activities. So much fun!

On Sunday, March 19, the Remember Ricky Tournament was held at Lucky Lanes to honor Ricky Burgstrom, who passed away in November of 2021. Over 200 people came out to show their support ... including world-renowned bowler Jason Belmonte.
Belmonte was someone that Ricky idolized in the sport, so it was amazing he was able to be in attendance, and autograph the bowling ball that Ricky wanted!
It truly is a beautiful story of FCSD graduates, and teacher, honoring a classmate that passed away. 🧡🤍🖤

On March 3rd, 29 art students went on a field trip to Mercyhurst University, in Erie, PA. They participated in one of three workshops (graphic design, photography, or art therapy) led by art department faculty. The workshops were meant to give the students a taste of the art majors offered at the university. They also toured some of the campus, ate lunch in the dining hall, and had some question and answer time with a current art major. It was an amazing experience, and everyone had a great time!

Our middle school orchestra members had an amazing time with our guest artist Rodney Page! Rodney Page is a classically trained violinist & Julliard trained Orchestral Conductor. He bridges the gap between classical & pop/hip-hop music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zup7TnE_Z5Q

Mrs. Noody’s ceramics classes participated in the First Annual Magnet Exchange! This year’s theme was called “home” and was loosely based on the State/City/Town where you are from. It was an amazing opportunity for our ceramic students to connect with other ceramic students across the country!
Students each sketched ideas for the theme “home” and presented them to their class. Each class voted, and the top designs made it to the prototype round. Our winning design was the awesome grape magnet!
We hope to continue this exchange in years to come!
