Amazing Monarchs

Life Cycles is an integral science concept in our third grade curriculum.  Jill Putnam’s third grade class has been learning about the stages of development for Monarch butterflies with an exciting hands-on experience.

Students have spent the last week tagging and releasing monarch butterflies so the scientists at Monarch Watch can use the data to track their migration. So far 21 butterflies have taken flight, with 3 left in the chrysalis stage.
