In compliance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), the Fredonia Central School District Asbestos Management Plan is on file in the District Maintenance Office, located in the High School.

The management plan contains information regarding the locations of asbestos containing materials (ACBM) in all school buildings, the conditioin of the ACM and a plan for dealing with the ACBM.

Re-inspection of all district buildings, as required by AHERA, was conducted in 2007. The next re-inspection will be conducted in 2010.

The following asbestos activities were conducted during the 2008-2009 school year:

*A visual periodic surveillance was performed by trained school personnel. The next surveillance, required every six months, will be in December, 2009.

*No asbestos Response Actions were planned or conducted during the past year.
