Students arriving from 7:43 – 8:03 (the first 20 minutes of the class) will go to the attendance office, receive a pass, and report to their first period class. The teacher will issue a consequence based on his/her professional opinion for the situation. Options include but are not limited to: making up missed time, making students stay for personal teacher detention, doing a lunch detention, phone call home, etc. If the student doesn’t fulfill his/her obligation assigned by the teacher, the teacher may fill out a misconduct report and the office will follow through with additional consequences if necessary.
Students arriving after 8:03 am will go to the attendance office. The attendance office will assign a detention, which will be handled through the high school office.
***This is different than our present procedure, as after the 20 minutes, the office will be handling the detention rather than the individual teacher.
