For Teachers:

  • Earth Day Groceries Project -Joined together on the Internet, thousands of school children decorated 45,699 paper grocery bags to celebrate Earth Day 1995 and increase environmental awareness at their 115 schools and communities. These bags were passed out (filled with groceries) to shoppers at grocery stores on Earth Day. At this site you can read all the reports from participating schools, find out how to participate in 1996, and see some pictures of students at work on the project.
